A Chemical company had to periodically charge their holding hoppers with ground limestone. Due to the number of hoppers and their infrequent need for charging they did not feel that it was going to be cost effective to purchase a Bulk Bag Unloader for each one.
Hapman provided the solution by combining their standard fork lift style Bulk Bag Unloader with a Series 400 Helix flexible screw conveyor and a mobile frame. A bag agitator, vibrator, and level sensor helped to assure an efficient transfer of material.
The customer was able to transfer the ground limestone from their bulk bags at a rate of 15,000 PPH (3.25 CFM) into each individual hopper as needed. The system met their processing needs and provided maximum performance with minimal equipment investment.
